2. How long is the prescription good for?

Prescriptions are typically written for 4 to 6 weeks, and will be accepted by a therapy office for a period of 30 days from the day it was written.

3. How many times per week will I be attending therapy?

Most prescriptions are written for two or three times per week

4. Will my insurance cover physical therapy?

Most major insurance companies will cover physical therapy, call your insurance provider to see what benefits you have or ask your therapy office to verify your benefits.

5. How long is each therapy session?

Each physical therapy program is created based upon the patients needs which causes the length of a visit to vary, however, generally each visit lasts approximately one hour.

6. Do I have a co-pay with each visit?

Most insurance plans have some out of pocket expense for the patient such as a co-pay. Check with your insurance company to see what your responsibility will be or ask your therapy office to check for you.

7. Will I have an exercise program to do at home?

Each patient will receive an individualized exercise program that they will be expected to perform on their own at home after proper education.
